Prayer Help Ministry | Church of Inner Peace Church of Inner Peace |

The Church of Inner Peace is an eclectic spiritual institution dedicated to providing members and friends with understandings and methods toward attaining inner peace and the peace of God. This church uses teachings, religious practices, ceremonies, meditation, contemplative prayer and philosophy to help each one move toward experiencing inner peace. And, too, toward building a foundation of inner peace in our lives, with all the power of soul and intelligence true peace cultivates. Outer peace and inner peace both greatly contribute toward healing, understanding others, making quality decisions, opportunities for growth and fulfillment, ethics, resolving personal traumas, authentic spiritual unfoldment and a true depth relationship in and with God. Understanding inner peace and experiencing this peace is life-changing, flowing into every realm of our lives. The Church of Inner Peace was founded by Rev. James R. Acker. It is universal in embrace, drawing on Western and Eastern insights and practices. The church is open to members and friends locally and globally. It is supported through tithing and donations. Inner peace appears to many of us as an unattainable concept, a something or some state that is seemingly impossible for us to experience. To find “the peace of God beyond all understanding” seems very daunting. Very inspiring, yet also challenging. We are too busy, too stressed, too worried, too fragmented, too at-conflict to be at peace. Most of us at some point realize that we don’t really know what peace is—as we have not truly experienced it. Or it is confused with being sated, having a desire fulfilled or a happiness-type emotion. Yet, peace is a natural state for each of us—natural and necessary. And inner peace, at levels deeper than a bodily or mindful calmness, is a constant expression of our spiritual self. It is always there. For every one of us. The questions are: what is getting in the way of it, and how do I enter inner peace once the obstacles are diminishing. Look for future further discussions on the Church of Inner Peace. Church of Inner Peace is part of the Institute of Philosophy and Spirituality.
