DAILY PRAYERS

Daily prayers  or daily praying, along with prayerful meditation or God-centered meditation, is among our most important expressions of  the day. Daily prayers is a way to voice our thoughts and concerns, our plights and needs, and our gratitude and joy-sharing with the angels, archangels, master guides such as Jesus, and God. Praying each day, whether it be in the morning or evening or any time of need, is a basic necessity—akin to eating wholesome meals, bathing, exercising 20 minutes a day and getting 6-8 hours of sleep. Daily praying keeps us spiritually healthy. It keeps us spiritually purified, if done properly, and can even cleanse the subtle body of our soul. Prayer keeps us spiritually energized, as if we are being sustained on the unbounded universal energies of God—and in a real sense we are.

Our time of daily prayer allows us to slow down in earth time, to dislocate ourselves from earth space and become our natural spiritual selves in God’s space and time. Prayer creates that bridge between earth and the soul universe. This daily prayer time can be used for any positive voicing to God and all the myriad angels serving Godliness. Whether stated out loud or in private thinking these daily times of prayer give us our conversations with the greatest mysteries and the greatest powers.

Prayers bring out our best selves. Even when we pray for ourselves, we do so knowing that it is our best human self that will receive the grace or boon from the prayer. It inspires and spurs us to be our truer soul self, even if for a few moments or minutes a day.

Use daily prayer for asking or for giving. Ask for what you need and desire (and you will know if the desire is healthy or not). And give thanks born of your heart and mind. Give gratitude that is both intelligent and devotional.
