I was a monk/priest for thirty years in the contemplative and metaphysical order of an American-born (Falling Leaf Lake, near Lake Tahoe, California) spiritual, meditation and psychic master. I am still under monk’s lifetime vows, living a life of monastic simplicity. I am pursuing a metaphysical minister, spiritual guide and teacher practice independently now. My spiritual teacher—Robert Hansen—was trained from childhood in spiritual religion, clairvoyance and clairaudience, aura reading, metaphysics and psychology of mind, the outer and inner bodies of man, and the meditation levels of awareness, causal light, inner sound and ultimate God realizations. He lived from 1927 to 2001. As a lifetime monk/priest Father Robert Hansen founded the Christian Yoga Order in 1959, of which Rev. James became a monk member in 1973.

Rev. James Acker—Early Years
I  was born at 3:22 a.m. on May 15th, 1954 at Denver, Colorado. My boyhood was lived outside of Denver, in Sausalito, Albuquerque, the windward side of Oahu (Hawaii) and I attended middle school and high school in Mill Valley in Marin County, California. As a boy I was blessed with many mystical experiences of inner light, angels, lucid spiritual dreams and several profound deja vu experiences in Denver. At the age of five, on a bright summer day in suburban Denver I experienced a deep and pervasive realization that God as the primal being of the universe pervaded the entirety of Earth—the planet, surrounding atmosphere and all beings inhabiting it. Later, in my teenage years I had several transformative meditation experiences of being God as universal space, from our solar system to the farthest proto-galaxies and boundaries of time/space. Growing up, I was vitally engaged in exploring philosophers and their teachings—with youthful attempts to practice them in daily life and conceptualize my own philosophical approaches. At the age of sixteen I started practicing interior prayer, yoga and meditation seriously and was reading widely of Western and Eastern spiritual teachers, and also studying the leading thinkers and developers of transpersonal psychology.

At age seventeen while sitting in a large crowd at the ferry dock in Sausalito on the San Francisco north bay a Christian-trained psychic—part of a group of young people being trained in clairvoyance—approached me and explained that he had just seen a vision over my head—a vision of a sword and a scroll in an iridescent aura of golden and lavender light. He didn’t explain the vision, but told me that I had a potent mission of spiritual service: teaching and writing in life.
