The intention of a prayer letter is to compose it as if you are writing to a very competent friend or representative who can really help you. The letter needs to be detailed, with addresses and dates and timing and any other relevant information given that relates to your situation. The letter can be addressed to God, the angels, archangels, angel people, saints or any form of appropriate address you are comfortable with.

Dear angel people,

First of all, thank you for receiving my prayer, and responding to it as quickly and helpfully as you can. I live at 110 Valley View Drive in Denver, Colorado. Recently I was divorced and I gained custody of my children, Ted and Samantha, who also live with me here. They are 4 and 6 years old. I am facing very hard financial times and I get frequent headaches and some back ache pain. This is probably stress-related because I have a low-paying job at Wal-mart on Pine Ave. in Denver and there are a lot of bills due. My ex husband, David Wilbur (who lives at 235 W. 12th Ave in Aurora, Colorado) is supposed to pay child support and alimony, and I pray to you that he is consistent with these payments. I really need them to maintain my rent and the monthly bills and see to my children’s needs.

I am now wanting to spend some of my savings studying to be a medical transcriptionist. It will cost $3,000 to study at Med Quest, one of the best schools in the country. They are located at 3500 Luther Burbank St., Chicago, Illinois and I am applying on line. The course will take about 9 months to a year to complete and if I graduate in the top percentiles I will be able to secure a job as a medical transcriptionist fairly easily, and I would be able to start making at least $27,000 a year right away, maybe more. And I may be able to work from home. I am starting the course in the first week of May, 2005.

Please help me study very well in this course so that I understand and assimilate the study material thoroughly and have a clear, memorized understanding of everything that is important. I need to have my study habits improved, and I am hoping you can help me with this.

I pray too for patience with my children during this study time. They will be noisy and distracting at times, and I want to be a good mother to them at all times.

Also, I ask you for some healing to my backaches. I have tried several backache medicines, but they don’t work and I don’t have health insurance, so going to a doctor is not affordable now. I have pains around my kidneys: sharp pains on occasion with duller pain fairly routine.

I am a fairly spiritual person, but not religious. I don’t go to church or anything. I believe you will help me with my requests as much as you are able. I thank you.
